What Ever Happened To Mystery?

What ever happened to mystery?

Have we lost the beauty of the riddle?

The enigma?

The things that can’t be explained?

What ever happened to mystery?

Since when did it become an asset

To define things until they are devoid of life?

Of heart?

Of Being?

But what if…

What if Life can’t be laid out in tables and spreadsheets?

Labels and lists?

Systems and schedules?

What if Life is mystery?

If we lose mystery, we lose Life.

We lose the King come as a baby.

We lose victory through vulnerability.

If we lose mystery, we lose Him.

  1. The magic is here, we just don’t see it. We have become so identified with our minds that we define each moment before it happens. I think fear causes us to have cyclic thought patterns. For instance each time you see a person, instead of just observing them as you would a tree, or a wild animal, you might think about them in terms of how they relate to your “story”. Now any action that person takes is within the form of your thought stream. This allows you to feel like you are in control, which is an illusion. Magic is inside that person. You just may not see it because of your overactive mind. We are overstimulated by technology. We THINK we are bored when there is a time of silence. Silence is a great teacher, it keeps us in touch with the stillness that surrounds us on a deeper level, even during chaos.
